Cosmetology services include the following services but are not limited to hair cutting/styling, skincare, make-up artistry, manicures, pedicures, and chemical services.

The Cosmetology Program differs from the Barber/Stylist Program in that Cosmetologists are not trained to use razors.

A cornerstone of our program is the extensive hands-on training you’ll receive on our on-campus salon floor. This is where theory comes to life as you work with real clients under the direct supervision of our licensed instructors.

You will practice and perfect a wide range of services, including hair styling, manicures, pedicures, makeup artistry, and skincare, ensuring you graduate with the confidence and skill to succeed.

Your Path to Enrollment

Ready to get started? Here are the admission requirements:

  • Age: You must be at least 16 years old (17 for the Rx Tech Program).

  • Application: Complete the enrollment application and schedule a tour of our facility.
  • Application Fee: Submit a non-refundable application fee of $100.
  • Education: Provide proof of a High School Diploma or GED. Alternatively, you can take the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST) and achieve a minimum score of 200 (Verbal) and 210 (Quantitative).
  • Identification: Submit two passport-sized photos, proof of residency (Social Security card or birth certificate), and a government-issued photo ID.

Your Future: A Day in the Life

Ever wonder what a typical day looks like for a Licensed Cosmetologist? It’s a fast-paced, creative career where you use a variety of skills to help clients feel beautiful and confident.

Morning (9:00 AM): Your day starts with a client coming in for a complete hair transformation—a cut and color. You consult with them, mix a custom color formula, and perform the service with artistic precision.

Midday (12:30 PM): After your hair client leaves, you transition to the nail station for a manicure and pedicure appointment. You shape, buff, and polish, creating a flawless look while chatting with your client and building a strong professional relationship.

Afternoon (3:00 PM): A local student comes in to get her makeup done for a school dance. You use your artistry skills to create a look that enhances her natural features. Between clients, you sanitize your tools, tidy your station, and confirm your next day’s appointments.

End of Day (5:00 PM): You finish your day by providing a relaxing facial for a long-time client. You leave knowing your diverse skill set brought joy and confidence to many different people, all in a single day’s work.
