Dr. Traci Mitchell
The founder of Rockledge Institute, Dr. Traci Mitchell, has over 25 years of pharmacy industry experience and expertise in the following areas: retail, hospital and pharmaceutical research. Prior to launching Rockledge Institute, Dr. Mitchell and her family opened their first family business, “Who’z Next Barber & Beauty” in Jacksonville, FL. While operating a successful barber shop and beauty salon, they realized that the education being provided to Barber and Cosmetology students was inadequate. The desire to open Rockledge Institute was birthed through their sincere enthusiasm to provide superior training for not only their future employees, but for students throughout the state of Florida.
In addition, Dr. Mitchell holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Florida A & M University. She has many years of practical pharmacy experience that spans from independent, retail, long-term care pharmacy services and pharmaceutical research. Dr. Mitchell draws upon her expansive career experiences to provide premium education to her pharmacy technician students. One of her major professional accomplishments was opening an independent retail pharmacy, Space Coast Community Pharmacy. This pharmacy serves as a resource for Rockledge Institute’s Pharmacy Technician students; so they can have opportunities to further their education through hands-on learning experiences. The driving force behind Dr. Mitchell’s entrepreneurial ambition is her daughter, Taylor, who affectionately refers to herself as “The Boss” of Rockledge Institute.
